I think this is probably the most gripping book I've ever read, I was taking every opportunity to read a few pages and it came everywhere with me until I'd finished! A pretty speedy read overall which merges the genres of a fairly stereotypical relationship focused drama and a tense thriller. It's not the best written book I've ever read but it's an enthralling story that takes you on a real rollercoaster. I did find it a bit odd that it says on the cover that there's a killer, but you spend about 90% of the book waiting for this part of the story to come about. However this did help build tension before you'd even opened the front cover. Most of the characters are pretty horrible, so it can be hard to sympathise at times with their situation.
Overall I'd say the Holiday is a cracking holiday read.
