I couldn't put this book down, it had me gripped right from that start! The story follows 4 friends who go away on holiday together along with their partners and children. Kate uncovers some messages on her husband's phone that indicate he is having an affair, and more shockingly that he is having an affair with someone on the holiday. However, things may be more complicated than they first seem, and one friend is prepared to go to great lengths to keep the secret hidden.

I absolutely loved the sound of this book and so couldn't wait to start reading it. It hooked me in and I read it in two days, which is definitely a sign of a great book. The story had various aspects, not just the suspected affair between Kate's husband and one of Kate's friends. For example, we hear from different perspectives in the book and learn about things that the children are going through, as well as the other husbands. This gave the story a lot more depth which I enjoyed. The general premise reminded me a little bit of Ruth Ware's A Dark Dark Wood: friends that go away together, but everything is not quite as it seems. If you enjoyed that then you'll definitely love this one.

I did find the ending a little quick, and I was also a little frustrated that some of the bigger drama didn't unfold a little earlier in the book. The blurb of the book says that someone is prepared to kill to keep their secret safe, but I got a good chunk into the book and no-one had died yet! I do think that this was my only niggle and it is me being a little picky as I usually am with mysteries/thrillers. Otherwise I really enjoyed this read and will definitely be seeking out more from T M Logan.
