Yes! Yes! And Yes! Again!! What a book!!
I have read Logan's two previous books and loven them both so I was very intrigued about this one (Especially after seeing it day after day on IG!)
I didn't like the cover at the beggining as it breaks the harmony with his other books but I forgave the publisher as soon as I started reading it!
I loved the set up. I loved the fact that all these families are meeting in a remote village in a different country for a holiday! I loved the story being told by just one of them but making them all very present throughout the story. I loved the short chapters. I loved the twist right on the start... I liked everything!
Karen, the main narrator, is going through such a difficult situation while on holidays that I pitied her. But is she right? Should she be thinking that way? Why would anyone betray her? I couldn't wait to find out more!
I liked that the book is separated by days. It started off on a Saturday and it goes on for a week. I liked to know what happened every day and having a clearer picture in mind.
I also liked that Karen wasn't the only narrator. She narrates most of the chaptera but there are also a few of them told by different people who also attend thia vacation.
I liked having likeable characters (Like Karen or Izzy) and unlikable characters like Rowan's family - On its totality- or Jen's twins!
I liked to see how evey family wasn't as perfect as the rest thought they would be. They all had problems, were struggling and showed their flaws.
I liked the end, how the events took place and the twists! I especially liked the last 50 pages, I found they were a very good close for this great book!
With all this being said, I think it was a bit too long. I reckon everything could have been said in 100 less pages and so, at points where there wasn't much going on, I lost a bit of interest and skimmed a tad!
Other than that, I really enjoyed and recommend this book and author!
