The author has got the reader hooked. It is an interesting premise, a story of friends meeting up to celebrate the birthday of one friend. The birthday girl wants the holiday to be perfect but one of her friends most certainly doesn't.
Why is the big question? Who becomes the subsequent one? Will this break friendships and relationships? Who will survive? Where is this holiday, will the location add to the intriguing premise? This will certainly go to the past, so were these childhood friends/ How did they meet each other and their partners? Lots of unanswered questions!
This sounds like an interesting psychological thriller and I hope that the author is able to do justice throughout the book by creating the suspense and aura that has been generated by the first look.
