I could not put this down. Or stop thinking about it. Wow.

My first initial thoughts were that this is a gorgeous setting and whilst I definitely do not want kids, Odette has 100% put me off for life. Ethan and Jake too.

This was tense AF. The whole time I was on edge. Some of the characters were very unsettling; two in particular.

The majority of the story is told by Kate but switches to others' points of view throughout and then back to Kate. I thought this would be one of those classic 'everyone in the book dies' kinda stories but it was so much smarter than that. I did however struggle to find an emotional attachment to anyone other than Kate and her family.

I didn't guess what would happen and I usually always do. I guessed bits of it, but all the red herrings well and truly threw me off!

If, like me, you have this one at home and haven't got round to reading it yet, I would urge you to ASAP
