The Holiday is the perfect summer thriller!
Once I picked it up it was hard to put back down, really intriguing story with plenty of twists and turns you just won’t see coming! Very well written I loved how even though there was one main narrator, each character in the book had their own insight for a chapter or two.
It’s gripping and because the chapters are short it’s so easy to keep thinking “I will just read one more chapter” and an hour later your head is still in the pages 😂 The characters were interesting and I loved the dysfunctional families, it kept me gripped.
Only reason it wasn’t a 5/5 for me is because I wanted to drama to unfold slightly earlier in the book, I think I had got more than halfway through and was still waiting for the murder to happen! But nevertheless, I enjoyed this book so much and would absolutely recommend it (just maybe don’t read it if you’re on holiday with friends)! I’m definitely want to read more from this author after reading The Holiday!
