The holiday is a suspense thriller. From the very first pages it grabs my attention and pulls me into it. The book is narrated from Kate's point of view. She explicitly describes the landscapes and the locales surrounding the villa. Being, crime scene investigator Kate is more observant and detailed. I admire the way she talks about herself , her relationship with Sean and how she manages to keep herself quiet in spite of battle raging inside her.

I like the book is straightforward. It doesn't complicate the topic with the language. It's easy to read and keeps me hooked to the book. The suspense build up is not forced and it just moved smoothly through the pages. The best part is the writing which helps me in imagining the entire set up and the character.

Overall, I feel this will be difficult to put down once I start reading it.
