I hate to say it, but I was a little disappointed with The Holiday. After reading the synopsis, I was expecting the death to happen early on, and the rest of the book to question what had occurred... I love books that jump straight into the action! However, the majority of the book is spent exploring who Kate's husband was having an affair with. The death doesn't happen until we're 400 pages into the book and the last 80 is spent piecing the story together. To me, it felt like a lot of build up, and although I enjoyed the outcome of the story, I wish it had gotten there quicker! ⠀

I enjoyed the range of characters, and how they all had their part to play in the story. I wasn't sure how it was all going to piece together, but it was planned and written very well! I hadn't read anything by T M Logan before, but I enjoyed the writing style, and I'm excited to read The Catch, which is in the queue on my Kindle!
