This book follows four best friends on their holiday to celebrate turning 40. Kate suspects her husband of having an affair with one of her best friends. As kate closes in on the truth she realises the stakes are way higher that she imagined, with the death of one of her friends...

I have mixed opinions about this book.

I found the beginning relatively slow and I did struggle to get into it. I though through most of the book the characters were fairly predictable, and even boring.

The book had me constantly changing my mind about what I thought the ‘secret’ was. However unfortunately didn’t have me intrigued to the point where I couldn’t put it down.

For me the saving grace of this book was the ending. I can genuinely say that I did not see it coming, and it really did redeem the book for me. All of the loose ends were tied up which I appreciated.
