Even though it's 480 pages long I read it in one day! Extremely well written and fast paced, its short chapters keep you tearing through the book saying 'just one more' at the end of each one Most chapters end on a cliffhanger, some of which are red herrings while others have a diversion so you need to read 2 more chapters to find out what happens. Despite being a man, the author does a brilliant job of examining events from a female point of view and his insight into human thoughts, doubts and insecurities is eerily accurate. I also liked a lot of the modern topics that are touched upon such as people being stuck to their phones, appearances and people not always being as they seem and the multilayered plot. There's a central thread with a brilliant series of twists but also a few separate issues running in tandem. Could they all be linked or are they genuinely separate? An essential read for the summer - as well as the spring, the autumn and the winter! If there was one thing I would change it would be the one liners above the title on the front cover. Not entirely accurate, a bit misleading but also makes you expect something that doesn't happen until quite an advanced stage of the story. I would have been prepared to be caught off guard without expecting anything. Other than that, absolutely brilliant and incredibly addictive!
