I had to sit and read this book in one sitting when I was, quite appropriately, on holiday in Greece. I became absolutely obsessed with the characters, their different personalities and their relationships. Particularly between the women who's friendships we see so much of in this book and their husbands and children on the trip.
It was interesting to read about the varying relationships of parents with their children and how it highlights the different parenting styles and how they deal with each of the trials and tribulations that come their way.
The part of the plot about Kate suspecting her husband is having an affair with one of her friends is written brilliantly, showing how deep down we all suffer with insecurities and paranoia and how we would deal with this if we thought both our relationship and friendships were compromised by the same situation.. and then THAT TWIST, at the end. Gosh I did not expect that. I didn't even come close to predicting it. Really well written and very much worth the read! Highly recommend.
