Kate and her family are finally on holiday – a gaunt with her university friends to France to celebrate their fortieth birthdays. With their moody teenager, Lucy, and her excitable son, Daniel, Kate and Sean prepare for a week in a large house with three other families, but something isn’t right. Well, this holiday sounds like an absolute nightmare to me! Hormonal teenagers, a spoiled, screaming 5 year old, a mother in denial about her two sons, a couple who won’t get off their phones because of their careers, a wife convinced her husband is having an affair – it just sounds like a holiday from hell. I’ve got to say, I started this at 6pm, went to bed at 10.30pm, woke up at 6am and finished the book by 7.30am – I couldn’t put it down, and if it weren’t for work the next day, I probably would have stayed up to the wee hours of the morning to finish it. I must confess, this book has been on my shelf for months and I never fancied reading it, now I’m wondering why I didn’t as soon as it arrived! I really did enjoy this one and I’m now looking forward to reading my next T.M.Logan book ‘The Catch’
