Do you really trust your friends? Because this is a book of trust, friendship and lies; dark and dangerous lies…
Because Kate suspects that her husband is having an affair, not with anyone but with one of her best friends. So she will try to uncover everything during the “holidays” they have booked all together, she can’t wait to discover the truth, but it is safe?
This is low burning story, full of tension and inquiries; because in any relation trust is the only thing that matters, when you question it everything around disappears and you don’t know who or what to trust.
I cannot think what it has to be discovering that your husband is having an affair with one of your best friends; the doubt, bitterness and sadness has to be overwhelming! And having to “enjoy” some happy days with this mixture has to drive anyone crazy!
I was surprised that Kate didn’t confront the husband since the beginning, I would prefer to know everything instead of snooping around to discover the truth by myself. But the suspicion and turns of the story made this a nail bitting story, because you have some clues revealed during the book but you will not know everything till the end!
This is a very well written story, full of subplots, interesting characters and full of tension. But I am sure it would be better if you don’t take it if you are planning a holiday with your husband and friends, just an advice, of course! 😉
