I loved this book. The idea of old friends spending a holiday together in France twenty odd years since they first met with all the complications of their past relationships is just heading for trouble. Then there is the relationships between their children. The picture is drawn beautifully of the idillic holiday location. Rowan the generous host who is about to close on the selling of her company to a squeaky clean American firm can't allow for any scandle and has a secret of her own. Kate has picked up on messages to her husbands phone and thinks he is having an affair with one of her friends but can she work out which one? As she veers between suspects she sets a trap but is she double crossed. The holiday ends in tragedy with a bush fire and the murder of one of the party. We find the rationale behind the various characters actions but the action closes back in Britain as Kate and her husband seek justice for all.
