The writing style of this book is completely different to that I am used to. Sentences are short and snappy, straight to the point. A little hard to follow in places but is very enticing. The wording seemed more for younger audiences than I would usually go for but there’s just enough uniqueness to keep me reading and keep drawing me into their world. It was a little off putting having so much information thrown in so soon and with the hard to follow plot it definitely left me confused but this just makes me want to read it more, to try and understand the world of mount fathom more. Unfortunately knowing that the author has since passed is a great shame knowing this book will not be turned into a series despite having the potential too but I’m sure it will still read amazing as a stand-alone and leave the reader many questions to answer themselves.
