The cover is really affective, elegant but with a touch of mystery, and it definitely invites a closer look at the book. The opening sections are immediately intriguing and also a little spooky, as it is clear straightaway that Martha is a newcomer to Urania Cottage—a place with an unknown purpose—and that other girls will be joining her there shortly. Similarly, there’s something not quite right in the other location, the large house of Piccadilly, where Miss Angela is having to confront the fact that the past is coming back to haunt her. It’ll be interesting to see how these two storylines converge.
