The premise of this book is so interesting! A house for women in Victorian England who are seen as 'fallen' and outsiders to society. It is almost heartbreaking to see how women were disregarded but also held to such a high standard that places like this could exist. In contrast to the stories of these women, their benefactor has a wealthy and stable existence but also is at the mercy of men's perceptions. I can't wait to see how the stories of all these women intertwine and how they conclude. I'm guessing it won't be a happy ending for them all.
