I have read all of Stacey Hall's previous novels and loved them. 'The Household' does not disappoint. Descriptions of life at Urania Cottage are beautifully written and characters come vividly to life. As ever historical details are caringly researched. This is gem of a novel, reflected in its beautiful cover.
