This is the second book I have read by Stacey Hall and she is fast becoming a favorite. Stacey has a wonderful style of writing which brings the characters alive and transports you to a different time and place.
This book takes you to 1984 and introduces you to a number of female characters how are "fallen". And to a lady who is being stalked for a number of years. The main thing the woman all have in common is this strong characters. The book explores Victorian morals and society expectations, there are clear signs Stacey (author) has done her research to write such a well documented book. While reading I goggles the story and found parts are based on true events. This added an extra layer to the book for me.
In parts the book was little slow but this did help build the story in other area. I look forward to reading more books by Stacey Hall in the future
