I don’t want to like this book, it’s about people who are involved in an ice factory. But the characters really draw you in and sucker punch you into liking the book.
The author has done her research about large refrigerators for sure, dump valves and compressor switches, which turns out to be quite interesting.
The characters are unique and stand out, the CEO is the partner to the COO a Scottish guy called Ice like in Topgun, they have some fun differences the make good reading. They are authentic as characters, but the Scottish guy sounds a little false, may be it’s too much “och aye”.
The story of these characters trying to hold onto their business as it faces a court battle and heavy fines, the Scotsman’s son who is a recovering addict, and then Ice is ill. Lots of reasons to turn those pages, very engaging.
