Johnny MacKinnon sounds like he's having a really terrible time. He's dealing with his company potentially closing, his son not speaking to him and possibly a brain tumour. From reading the first impression it seems like The Ice House will make you laugh and make you cry in equal measure. I really liked the authors writing style and I'm sure book club readers will absolutely adore this story.
