These kind of books do take me a while to get into, as in they're quite slow going for me but that's fine because I don't mind pacing myself. I'm always interested in these type of reads that deal with health issues and the effect it has on family and what it causes your life to look like and how it all can change.
This wasn't a story without humour either, even when dealing with having a brain tumour, there's great things to like about Johnny and Pauline as well. I think it's good to incorporate humour into a story especially one dealing with an issue that can affect a lot of people in life. It shows that nothing just stops because of this one thing, you can still laugh and enjoy life even with all its hardships.
