This book was okay. It was enjoyable but nothing about it really stood out to me. Due to the nature of the plot, the book was slow, which was fine for some points but sometimes it felt too slow.

The characters are fairly complex and most had aspects I liked and aspects about them I didn't like (if they were real people). This worked really well, especially as I'm used to the flaws behind characters not being explored fully and actually affecting how the character interacts with everyone and everything. These characters felt real. Really real.

I really liked the sections that showed Chemal and Roy the most and wish we got to see more of these characters. I found there story lines to be the most interesting to read. Though I also did like reading from Corran's perspective as well. (A lot more than Johnny's, so I'm glad we got that)
