Ihave never heard of this author and its always good to find a new one. I loved this book, . I loved all the characters and felt that I knew them. It was one of those books that stays with you and I didn't want it to end. The novel is about a family that live in Scotland and Florida. Jonny and Pauline own an ice factory in Florida and they are in the middle of a crisis which could result in them closing. Jonny has a brain tumour and his estranged son is a heroin addict recovering in Scotland in the middle of nowhere with a baby. Apart from all the family drama it is a very funny book and I found myself smiling while I was reading some parts. It was also sad in parts and you felt the struggles that this family were going through. A really good read with great characters and a good outcome.
