I am struggling greatly to compile this review because to be completely honest, I got to the end of this book with no real coherent thoughts on the matter.
I wasn't invested. That was the real issue for me. I had no motivation to continue reading so it took me way longer than it would usually take for me to get through a book of this length.
To be honest, if someone were to ask me what the book was about and what I thought about, I couldn't help them at all. I would simply point them in the directions of a synopsis and other reviews.
I knew that reading this book would be a step out of my comfort zone in terms of style and genre which I have been trying to do recently and have been pleasantly surprised however this time it was just not the case.
I have given it 2 stars for the simple fact that the writing itself was rather pleasant with some lovely quotes which I strongly appreciated.
If anything I would have loved to have read poetry from this author rather than a full length novel perhaps.
