Something felt a bit slow about this book, although it was particularly gripping and fascinating at times it did not spark a lot of excitement for me. The author has written an incredibly moving and interesting story, however It is very much out of my comfort zone, which can sometimes make me want to read a book but unfortunately this time it did not.
I think what first made me want to read this book was the interesting illustration on the front, it definitely drew me in and encouraged me to delve deeper. However, the story wasn't unique enough for me and therefore didn't grab my attention enough to want to read on.
I think I would only recommend to someone who is interested in this kind of genre as I believe they would enjoy it more than myself.
