If I had stumbled across this book anywhere other than readers first, I wouldn't have given it a second look. A bland cover and a blurb that didn't really intrigue me but I'll always give a free book a go.
I picked it up just to get if off my TBR, if I didn't enjoy it, it was another one that could go but to my surprise I devoured it! The characters were likeable and relatable, each having their own struggles and problems. I really felt for the main character and his medical and family situation. I was desperate to find out what was going to happen to these peoples livelihoods.
There is one moment in the book that had me sobbing!!
The writing was stunning, I could see the places and feel the emotions portrayed.
