Charming tale of 17th C. childhood

Reminded me a little of Anne of Green Gables in some ways - the world seen through the eyes of a child with big aspirations and imagination. The world-building was very well done, descriptive without being ostentatious, and I felt drawn into the story and to Ursula as a result. Sad to have the excerpt come to an end and will look forward to reading the rest.
