I loved the cover of this book and that's what initially drew me in. The blurb made me question whether I'd enjoy it, as I often find books set centuries in the past overly laborious to read, however decided to give it a try. Beautifully written, the author captures the carefree nature of childhood and the beauty of the countryside perfectly. It's definitely going on my books to read list!
