Whimsical
Yes, that is the word for this book; whimsical.
The cover of the book immediately drew me in and I was eager to read the First Impression. So far it has not disappointed. A slightly later time period than I usually enjoy for Historical Fiction but as this is set during the Reformation it is not too much later and it does have a good flavour of the time period (or as best as I can tell it does, having not been alive then - I'm old but not that old).
Told from the point of view of Ursula Flight, a young lady from a modestly wealthy rural family that just about has a claim to nobility.
I can't wait to read more about her life and her fleeting passions.
