When I first saw the cover, I immediately thought of Lord of the Flies. This is a shame because I think its important for a book to posses unique qualities, which are not tainted by a previous read. This makes me question if I would enjoy this book. Nevertheless, I did enjoy the preview and it would be interesting to compare both Lord of the Flies to the Island.
