Having devoured Bennett's debut, I was thrilled to learn she's publishing a second book and I am so intrigued by the premise of The Island. I can't wait for this modernised Lord of the Flies and I love Link's narration so far. He's an intriguing character with his mixed UK/American upbringing and quirky family, and I can't wait to learn more about how he ends up on the Island and how he fares when he realises he's not alone after the snippet that showed him seeming rather excited. I can't wait! My excitement is only heightened by such an awesome, gripping cover that draws the eye.
