This book accurately Introduces us to Link the Geek. I have a home schooled friend who saw the world exactly as Link did at 13: a vast space of interesting activities and a world full of adults. The description is SO accurate and the author could e describing my friend. He is a fan of radio four and the authour introduces all characters with what music they would take to a desert island, this adds humour and constantly reminds us of Link’s sheltered upbringing and why he reacts the way he does. We have all encountered a P.E teacher like Mr. Llewelyn - your best friend if you’re into fitness, but the devil incarnate for those of us less physically able. I whinsed with Link as he had to do his fit test and really look forward to following him on his journey and to see what happens on the Island...
