Self confessed geek, Lincoln Selkirk, who has previously been home schooled by his American hippy parents, is marked as a loser by his teacher and peers when he fails to run around the quad at his new school in an acceptable time.
He is obviously in for a tough and miserable time at the school.
There are lots of puns and clever witticisms in this book which I love.
The cover shows a desert island but not sunny and bright but black and sinister.
I loved this author's first book S.T.A.G.S and am looking forward to reading this one even though I am definitely no longer a YA!
