I was very excited to read this book having a keen interest in a disaster story and I was not disappointed.
I did guess the plot line early on (and skipped Billy Crystal style to the last page to confirm my suspicions) but it did not disappoint and showed a great insight into how people would act in this sort of situation.
As the book started I loved Link and felt so sorry for him with the bullying he suffered at the hands of Seb and co but after the first couple of days on the Island I found that I had turned on him and am not afraid to admit that I no longer cared about or liked him - he had turned into such an unlikable character!
He slightly redeemed himself for me by the end but was it too little too late!
What I loved most about this book is how it wrapped everything up at the end and I wasn't left to wonder what had become of the gang.
I won't spoil the ending for anyone but it was perfect!
Now, I need to purchase the authors first book!
