Having read nothing by M.A Bennett before, I quite enjoyed this book! I thought it was such an interesting and modern take on The Breakfast Club and Lord of the Flies.
I found it easy to read and the writing really flowed so it didn't take me long to finish it. My favourite character would be Flora. I found her relatable, sassy and honest. I thought she was pretty cool.
The book was a little predictable and I could see the 'twist' almost straight away. The characters weren't all that likeable.
I really did pity Link at the start but I didn't like the portrayal of his character and it was almost cliche that he went power crazy. I personally didn't like where his character arc went even though he seemed to redeem himself at the end and learnt his lessons.
Overall it was an enjoyable and quick read!
