The story is begins with a young boy who struggles to fit in to his new school. His quirky nature quickly clashes with the old-school traditions of the other students. Comically, he ends up stranded on an island with the very students he painstakingly tried to avoid.

Link, the President-Lincoln-obsessed boy, takes us through his adventures on the island whilst he gradually turns the tables and becomes the president of his own island.

The plot was slightly predictable and the characters a bit cliche, but in a way, I feel like this was intended. The pace was good, moving the reader through the important parts of the story without irrelevant information. Overall, the novel is a fun read and a real page turner.
