Thirsty Bishop
The blurb says for fans of Trisha Ashley - I'm not sure about that one. Although competent with good characterisation and a clear plot it isn't quite up there with her books - there is some special spark missing. That said it is actually rather good, well thus far anyway.
With warm and relatable characters who talk like real people - along with the slightly acerbic banter - and the joy of small town life. The main protagonist may have empty-nest syndrome but she's battling valiantly against both that and her newly single status.
There is some good humour here too, not laugh out loud but raise a gentle smile type. Works for me.
