Having just returned from a week in gorgeous Devon where I visited Dartmoor National Park, it was exactly the right time to read this book. I devoured it in one sitting and thoroughly enjoyed it, it was an easy and delightful read.

The descriptions of the old museum and the village in general were really interesting and the characters were colourful and for the most part likeable, you could just imagine the community of this village. Jen was such a funny person with her straightforward manner, I could really identify with her and her predicaments, and her father was wonderful and hilarious. Although the story is not entirely believable, who does not like a feel good, charming read.

A lovely summer read.
