Firstly let's just point out how lovely the cover is, bright and summery and perfect for this book.
This book was easy to read and flowed throughout. Ideal for a summer read, an easy escape into Jen's world, just add gin!
The story was good, and as stated above, easy to read however at times there felt like there could have been more conflict. This is not to say that there wasn't any, there was plenty but I felt they could have been built up to more.
The main character, Jen, is a middle-aged woman whose life is falling apart around her, her husband's left, her children have left home and now she is being faced with losing her job. Jen and the characters of her family and friends were all lovable, and for many relatable too.
