From the very beginning I was drawn by a wonderfully funny main character. Just by the use of added descriptors in her speech you can see she has been written with original wit and personality, this isn't going to be a standard romance but one with a bit of fire and attitude.
The cause of wanting to keep a village independent from chain businesses is something most can relate to so emotionally, I became quickly involved.
Very well written with lovely and warm dynamic between the characters. Lovely to see the dynamic of patent returning to live with child as a sign of love and support as opposed to failure. I think this book will teach out to many people. I'd like to discover and enjoy the rest of the story.
