A little heavy on bedroom scenes

I mostly enjoyed this book, it was a nice spin on a classic romance plotline, and Stella's autism was very realistic (not surprising for an own-voices story). I loved how gentle and caring Michael was, and it was very clear that they were well suited and devoted to each other. The importance of full consent was emphasised throughout, though I felt sometimes it wasn't quite fully carried through in the bedroom scenes, not to the point of being uncomfortable, but Michael occasionally trying something a little new without checking first.
I did feel that there was more sex than necessary, or at least, some scenes might have fared better from a fade-to-black. I also felt that Stella not being touch-averse at all with Michael might have been explained better, it seemed a little out of the blue.
I did like that the misunderstandings affecting the relationship portion of the book was very short, and most of it was dedicated to them getting to know and care for each other while navigating their different secrets and problems, as I find misunderstanding is overused and irritating as a major plot device.
Overall, a fun and lovely read, as long as one doesn't mind a fair amount of sex!
