The story centres around Stella, a woman who is feeling pressure from her parents to find a man and who also happens to be diagnosed with Aspergers, and Michael, who is feeling pressure from his family to provide and turns to escorting as his answer!
I have read a lotttt of contemporary fiction centred around characters with ASD and I have to say this may be my favourite!
I found that Hoang portrayed ASD in a very realistic way, probably as she is on the spectrum herself, and I thought Stella was a very likeable character.
I also fell head over heels in love with Michael! He came across as very considerate and head strong and again, a really fantastically likeable character!
I’ll admit that this book was a littttttle steamer than I expected... but I didn’t mind that! It fitted well with the plot of the story and actually intensified the plot. I loved that Hoang incorporated scenes that highlighted the importance of consent!
I can’t wait to read the sequel!!
