To be fair this was my first ever adult contemporary romance, and for that reason, I think it will always have a special place in my heart. Even without that, this book is brilliant. It follows an autistic woman (Stella) who hires a male escort (Michael) to teach her about intimacy. The plot was brilliant, the banter was so fun and the characters were fully fleshed and so loveable, I don't know what more you could want in a romcom. A side note is that the book often mentions Vietnamese food as that is where Michael is from so you will probably be hungry while reading.
I adored the own voices representation and Stella as a character. It was so refreshing to see autism portrayed in a way that didn't infantilise or belittle Stella but instead allowed her to be a fully formed and flawed person who can have a great job and explore her romantic and sexual attractions.
