I was quite interested in this book initially - not so much in the plot, which is like a reversal of the film 'Pretty Woman' but in the main character's autism. Since the author has autism, I thought it could be full of interesting insights into how people might deal with this disorder, and make the story more unusual. Having finished it, I feel let down. The misunderstanding about who loves who, and who doesn't think that X loves them, etc etc, goes on far too long and is unconvincing. I also felt more like I was reading low-level pornography rather than a serious novel at times, and had to plow through the rather repetitive descriptions of (a lot of) sex in order to get back to the story. I did make it to the end, but am not keen to read more by this author.
