The book follows an economist whose autism prevents her from having typical relationships. I believe that her autism is dealt with tastefully, and lends itself to the endearing nature of the book. It is also a key plot and sometimes comedy point, as during moments of romance, out comes a checklist or an awkward question. This, coupled with Michael’s sweet, understanding nature, makes the characters relatable, sweet and people to root for, as well as a source of representation for many readers, no doubt. I simply did not want this book to end. It’s a real page turner, and I felt it very difficult to put down. Though it was fast-paced and action-packed, the plot did not feel too rushed, and there were also no parts that I could possibly wish to remove or change. I would recommend this book to anyone in a reading slump, or who is looking for an adorable, relatable romance.
