An exciting and fast paced read with plenty of tensions and dramatic moments, making the reading experience incredibly swift and gripping. As a romance, I found the plot line fairly cliche, but then again, what isn’t cliche in romance? The relationship between the characters, but more importantly their chemistry, was very well crafted and therefore created the impression of a genuine and authentic romantic encounter.
Hoang’s characters were particularly fascinating, especially since (much to my delight) she didn’t fall down the hole of a rude and obnoxious male lead that I’ve found many romances are known to use. The characters were very relatable and therefore appeared very endearing, leaving you rooting for them both. In terms of the representation of human struggle I would say Hoang explores a very difficult and sensitive topic in an extremely compassionate way.
Overall, a very fun and quick read! If you’re looking for a fast paced romance with two interesting and well fleshed out characters then The Kiss Quotient is the ideal book to make it onto your TBR.
