This is my first Helen Hoang, and I'm eager to read the other books in this series after having read this one. I love the fact that the protagonist is autistic, seeing as it's rare to see any form of neurodiversity in novels, especially romance. And of course, the love interest is also an amazing character with his own struggles too, and almost seemed like a second protagonist rather than a deuteragonist. Also, I love seeing women with thriving careers, especially in more male-dominated fields (though I may be biased in that respect).

The main reason this wasn't a 5 star was because it seemed a bit cringey at times, and there was also quite a bit of miscommunication (why is this such a common trope in romance?). Though it isn't to hard to get through, and it was exactly what I needed when looking for a nice, easy read to get me through my university exams.
