The characters are well described, you feel like you know them and they come together so beautifully. It’s a book that’ll make you cry yet it’s funny too.
I warmed to the family straight away. My cultural similarities with the characters somehow drew me to the book.
Having worked with children with ASD, I have a clear idea of what they’re capable of, who they are and just how complex they can be.
As the author herself has Asperger’s I feel she was able to really bring a good understanding of thoughts feelings and actions to the story. I think her clear insight made this book even more special.
