I do enjoy Minette Walters books as her research is always so obvious.
This historical novel is a new departure for her but one which I enjoyed. The characters of Lady Anne, Thaddeus and Eleanor came alive in the very first chapter.
There is clearly more to the background of each character than we are initially told which ahs made me want to read on & find our how the story unfolds
